Arrival, The Blue Lagoon and Reykjavik
Start your relaxation straight away! Your transfer from the airport will take you straight to the world famous Blue Lagoon, where you can enjoy a drink and a dip in the turquoise outdoor pool. The water comes straight from geothermic springs as deep as 2000 meters below the Earth’s surface, is rich in minerals and famous for its healing properties. It is naturally heated all year round to a comfortable temperature of 36-39° Celsius. An indoor lagoon and a geothermic sauna are also available. After the bathing a transfer takes you to your hotel in Reykjavík, where you spend the evening at your own leisure.
The Golden Circle and the Fontana Steam bath
Today you get to explore some of Iceland’s most famous attractions like the beautiful waterfall Gullfoss, the geothermic area of Geysir, where Strokkur spurts its column of water into the air every 7 minutes, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Þingvellir national park, with its rich history and unique geology.
En route we will make a stop at the Fontana Steam Bath, which is created from natural warm springs. After this visit you return to Reykjavík.
Spa Treatment at Laugar Spa
Following a good nights sleep, a trip to the heart of Reykjavík and the largest spa facility in the Nordic countries, Laugar Spa, is up. The exclusive spa houses a beauty salon, massage treatment rooms, a fitness centre and outdoor and indoor pools.
After enjoying your 60-minute massage here, you can have lunch if you wish. The afternoon is left free to explore Reykjavik’s many excellent shops and cafes, or just for relaxing in your hotel.
Journey home (3n) or own activities
If you have chosen a three-night trip then you will be travelling home today. You will be picked up at your hotel in good time before the departure time of your flight.
If you have chosen to extend your trip then today will be another exciting day to make your own discoveries. Since you spent yesterday at the spa, then perhaps you might be tempted by a little more adventure today? Why not start the day with a spot of whale watching? Reykjavík is the departure point for lots of whale watching tours with daily departures. The best time for this activity is from June to August but the excursion is popular all year round. We promise you there’s nothing like the special feeling you get watching these magnificent giants of the ocean up close.
Another option for today could be the Reykjavik Food Walk, where you get to explore Reykjavik and visit some brilliant restaurants. Check the bottom of this page for a list of optional activities and day tours.
Journey home (4n)
You will be picked up from your hotel by a transfer coach in connection with your flight home.
