Horses & Hot Springs (8 AM/5 hrs/2,5 hrs riding) (C02)

5 hours Fr. £ 138

Experience a variety of scenery and impressions! We ride on excellent riding trails along the slopes of Reykjafjall mountain and through a green forest.

We begin by riding up a hill on excellent riding trails, along the slopes of Mount Reykjafjall and through a green forest—a rare sight in Iceland. We then pass numerous hot springs in the impressive and colorful geothermal area located just above the village of Hveragerði, also known as the "hot spring capital of the world." The area expanded dramatically after the 2008 earthquake and is constantly changing.

The trail continues along the volcanic hills above the village, which is also famous for its beautiful location between the Hengill volcano and the vast plains of the southern lowlands. We will enjoy a fantastic view of the Varmá river—"the warm river" where geothermal water flows—as well as green valleys with rising steam in the distance.
