Set off on a journey through the iconic Golden Circle and end the day with a relaxing visit to Iceland’s newest geothermal bath – Laugarás Lagoon.

The morning takes you to some of Iceland’s most cherished natural attractions. Experience the country’s powerful natural forces at the hot springs of the Geysir area, the iconic Gullfoss waterfall, and the historic Þingvellir National Park.

Strokkur and the Geysir Geothermal Area
Here you’ll encounter the pulsating power of Iceland’s geothermal heart. Strokkur, the country’s most active geyser, makes the ground tremble as it erupts every five to eight minutes, sending a column of boiling water up to 30 meters (98 ft) into the air. The area is alive with steaming vents, bubbling mud pools, and colorful hot springs, creating an almost otherworldly volcanic landscape.

Gullfoss – “the Golden Waterfall”
At Gullfoss, the Hvítá River plunges into a deep canyon in two powerful stages. Here you can stand close to the roaring water and experience the natural force that has made this waterfall one of Iceland’s most beloved and photographed sights.

Þingvellir National Park
The journey continues to Þingvellir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where geology and history blend in a remarkable way. Walk through the dramatic rift valley where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates slowly drift apart, creating a landscape unlike anywhere else. Þingvellir also holds great cultural significance as the site where Alþingi, the world’s oldest democratic parliament, was founded over a thousand years ago.

Laugarás Lagoon
The day concludes at Iceland’s newest geothermal spa, Laugarás Lagoon, which opened in October 2025. Here you can float in warm, mineral-rich geothermal water, surrounded by mountains and valleys with views over the shimmering Hvítá River. Enjoy the expansive infinity pool, the serene inner lagoon, or take an invigorating dip in the cold pool before warming up in the sauna.
