RIB Express (3 hrs) (T07)

On this RIB boat tour, you will experience beautiful nature, whales, puffins, and Reykjavík from the sea.

On the way out to the whale area, we stop at Akurey where the puffins live, then we pump up the adrenaline and test the RIB boat's speed as we head out towards the whales, where we then have plenty of time to see these majestic animals from up close. On the way back to the harbor, we take a scenic route along Reykjavík’s coastline – a perfect photo opportunity!

It is no coincidence that both the police and the military use RIB boats to carry out fast and precise operations. A RIB boat is very light in relation to its size (this one is 12 meters long), moves fast, and can navigate with great precision even in difficult conditions. This specific RIB boat features so-called “shock seats” that are both safe and comfortable by cushioning the impact – something other RIB boats generally do not do.

Included: Guided whale watching by RIB boat. Warm overalls, life jackets, gloves, and goggles. A visit to Puffin Island (during summer). Pick-up in Reykjavik.

Requirements: Participants need to be taller than 140 cm. The excursion is not recommended for pregnant women, people with back problems, or serious heart conditions.

Equipment: On this excursion, it is important that you dress according to the Icelandic weather, which can be changeable and tough. Also bring good shoes that keep you dry and warm; warm overalls are included. Bring your camera.
