This is the excursion for those who want to get extra close to the puffins, perhaps best known for their large colorful parrot-like beaks combined with a penguin-like look. With a specially designed boat, you and your party will head out 15 minutes outside of Reykjavík to the island of Akurey where the birds live.

This tour has been popular for over 20 years, so the crew knows how to get you close to the wildlife without disturbing it. The guide will share facts and stories about the puffin and the surrounding area's other wildlife. You will also see a new side of Reykjavík and learn more about the buildings you see along the way.
