Landmannalaugar & Saga Valley

On this trip you will experience two of Iceland’s most remarkable beauty spots, Fjórsárdalur with its colourful landscape, and Landmannalaugur – a wonderful spot hidden in the Icelandic highlands. The journey starts at Fjórsárdalur, one of Iceland’s most popular places to visit due to its astoundingly varied scenery. Along the way are several attractions, including the reconstructed long house Støng from the turn of the first millennium.  From Fjórsárdalur you will also have an excellent view of Iceland’s most famous volcano, Hekla.

Your journey continues onto Landmannalaugur, an area offering some of the most unique and spectacular experiences on Iceland. Take a dip in a warm stream or take an uplifting hike. Warm and cold springs can be found everywhere, along with fantastical lava fields and beautiful scenery. One of the areas unique attributes is the rhyolite mountains, in countless sizes and in multi-coloured formations. Enjoy the quiet and stillness of Iceland in spectacular surroundings.
