ATV & Whale Watching on RIB
Explore the mountains surrounding Reykjavik by quad bike and experience the exhilaration of speed on your whale watching jet boat adventure.
Part 1: Quad bike driving in Iceland
We start the day by picking you up at your hotel for a transfer to our basecamp just outside Reykjavik. You will be taught how to operate the quad bikes and get a briefing on safety procedures before heading off on the bikes towards the Hafrafjall Mountain. The journey take an hour and we will pass the Hafravatn Lake 14 km outside Reykjavik, before joining the mountain road taking us all the way to the top of Hafrafjall. A glorious view across Reykjavik and the surroundings awaits you.
Part 2: Whale watching on a RIB boat
After our quad bike adventure we travel back to the whale-watching centre in the port of Reykjavik, where you will be offered a hot cup of coffee. If you are hungry there is also time for a quick lunch in one of the nearby restaurants before the whale safari starts. After lunch you board a specially built jet boat that will quickly transport you out to sea to look for whales and dolphins, as well as birds in their natural environment. The jet boat has a maximum capacity of 12 people and is a much faster and a smoother ride than the normal whale watching boats. This means we can explore larger areas and get really close to the animals. After the boat trip we do a little sightseeing along the coastline and port area of Reykjavik. We will also visit one of Iceland’s most famous buildings, the Harpa concert hall.
