    Blue Lagoon

An unforgettable start to your visit to Iceland is a relaxing swim in the famous Blue Lagoon.

The Blue Lagoon is an outdoor bathing experience like no other. The Lagoon gets its water from springs that run over 2000 meters deep, and the water temperature is maintained at a comfortable 36/39 degrees Celsius all year round. There is also an indoor lagoon and a geothermic sauna in place, should you want a roof over your head.

The lagoon’s warm water contains active ingredients like as minerals and green algae that help you relax and forget about the stresses of every day life. The white silica mud gently cleanses and exfoliates your skin in a vitalising way, while the blue-green algae nourishes the skin, making it soft and subtle. The mineral salts have a balancing effect on both body and soul.

    The golden circle

The Golden Circle is a classic excursion that takes in many of the natural wonders that Iceland is most well known for. You visit the town of Hveragerði where locals grow fruit and vegetables in green houses using geothermal heating. You also get the chance to discover the Kerið volcanic crater and the episcopal seat of Skálholt. The adventure then continues onwards to the beautiful Gullfoss waterfall and the hot springs at Geysir, where the Strokkur geyser launches a mighty cascade up towards the sky every five-six minutes. The day then ends with a visit to Thingvellir National Park where we soak up the area’s gorgeous natural scenery and its fascinating history and geology.

    Whale watching

    2-3 hours | May - September
    valskådning, island

    Whale watching

There are few places in the world where nature is more accessible than it is in Iceland. The entire southwestern coast of Iceland is home to many different species of dolphins and whales, whose gracious ripples, jumps and spectacular dives can be witnessed on a short boat trip from Reykjavík. Iceland is also one of the few places on earth where you can catch a glimpse of the largest animal on the planet, the blue whale, whenever the conditions are just right. The duration of a whale watching excursion can vary depending on how far out the whales are located. Expect a few hours of searching out on the open seas. Longer excursions are only offered in the summer between June and August.

    HORSEBACK TRIPS ON ICELANDIC HORSES

    2-8 hours | All year

    HORSEBACK TRIPS ON ICELANDIC HORSES

The Icelandic horse is unique thanks to a ban on the import of horses that has applied in Iceland since the 1100s. It is a reliable partner that will take you across the Icelandic terrain and through its stunning natural environment no matter the season or weather conditions. A horseback trip can be enjoyed as part of a broader programme or as an excursion on its own, for just a few hours or over the course of a day, in close proximity to Reykjavík or around larger parts of the island. The trips traverse mountainous slopes, steep cliff faces, desolate lava fields and magnificent ravines. The horses are allocated to match rider experience and we make sure that all participants receive the equipment and instructions they need for the trip.
